Additional Information About the Role
Full-Time Histotechnician in Surgical Pathology Department.
Day Shift Hours: Monday-Friday starting at 4:30am. Flexible schedule: 4 or 5 days per week with 10 or 8-hour shifts.
No weekends or holidays.
Core responsibilities: embedding, microtomy, IHC, special stains, recuts.
Automatic sign‑on bonus eligible: $10,000.
Qualifications
Non‑reg with at least 3 years of Histo experience considered.
HT‑ASCP or ASCP‑HTL certification.
Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
Understand test principles, theory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas.
Perform microtomy, embedding, staining, reagent preparation; document quality controls and troubleshoot equipment.
Perform special stains and immunohistochemistry, manual or automated.
Utilize critical thinking skills across tasks.
Perform tissue gross examination as needed.
Meet High Complexity qualifications as written in CLIA 42CFR493.
