Construction Quality Assurance Analyst
at
LMI . This full‑time, temporary position (12‑36 months) assists Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in executing construction along U.S. borders. The role requires a background in construction management, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions and creative problem‑solving.
Responsibilities
Maintain day‑to‑day surveillance of field engineering activities for major military construction projects.
Provide expertise on safety and quality assurance; ensure adherence to safety regulations.
Review contractor schedules, payment estimate submittals, progress data, and material usage reports.
Prepare daily activity reports detailing instructions to contractor, quantities, weather, progress, delays, and issues.
Ensure compliance with environmental best‑management practices.
Support outreach, project oversight, and administrative support to the construction oversight manager, Government COR, and Project Manager.
Analyze problems and interpret plans, specifications, and construction requirements.
Monitor work layout and inspect ongoing construction.
Qualifications
3 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree (substitutions: 6 years work experience or associate’s degree + 4 years work experience).
3+ years construction oversight experience (surveillance, monitoring, controlling) for horizontal or all types of construction.
Preferred certifications: OSHA 30 Construction, MEWP, CQM, EM 385‑1‑1.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Experience with project management software such as Procore or Autodesk.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to solve problems and work as a team.
Experience managing multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets.
Willingness to travel to job sites as requested.
U.S. citizenship required and ability to pass a government background investigation.
Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 Annually.
Background check includes financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active CBP background investigation preferred.
