Save Job

Job Summary Do you thrive on getting hardware from point A to point B across borders, modes, and deadlines without drama? We’re looking for a Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager to own the movement of our rack‑scale computer systems, components, and service parts. You’ll manage our logistics partners and freight accounts, ensure compliance with international trade rules, and build the processes that help our supply chain scale smoothly.

Responsibilities

Own the relationships with our third‑party logistics (3PL) providers, from warehouses to freight forwarders to customs brokers.

Manage day‑to‑day shipments across parcel, LTL, FTL, air, and ocean freight, including scheduling, documentation, and tracking.

Oversee our FedEx, UPS, and other carrier accounts; optimizing service levels, costs, and reliability for domestic and international shipments.

Ensure import/export compliance across all shipments, including HTS classification, ECCN, country of origin, and valuation.

Prepare and review shipping documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, and certificates of origin.

Stay current on regulatory changes, sanctions, and tariffs that may affect our materials or customer base.

Develop scalable logistics processes, documentation standards, and audit trails to support customer deliveries, RMAs, and inventory movement.

Track and resolve shipping delays, damage claims, and customs holds with a bias for responsiveness and clarity.

Collaborate with operations and finance teams on landed cost analysis, freight budgeting, and trade compliance strategy.

Conduct site surveys to validate facility install and setup requirements.

Work closely with customer support and warranty teams to ensure supporting transactions are handled quickly.

Partner with our external trade compliance consultant to maintain and continuously improve Oxide’s import/export compliance program, ensuring alignment with U.S. and international regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP, etc.).

Coordinate periodic reviews, audits, and training with the consultant to validate HTS/ECCN classifications, country‑of‑origin determinations, and documentation accuracy across suppliers and shipments.

Maintain trade compliance–related data in business and logistics systems, including tariff classifications, ECCNs, countries of origin, and license requirements.

Serve as the primary internal liaison to the trade compliance consultant, triaging questions, implementing recommendations, and integrating compliance controls into day‑to‑day logistics operations and business workflows.

Qualifications

Have managed logistics and trade compliance operations for a hardware company, ideally in a global supply chain.

Have hands‑on experience with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs and know how to get things unstuck when needed.

Are very familiar with INCOTERMS, HTSUS codes, ECCNs, and basic import/export regulations.

Understand how to ship large, heavy, high‑value items safely, securely, and cost‑effectively.

Communicate clearly and thoroughly in both written shipping instructions and cross‑functional coordination.

Have strong organizational habits and follow‑through on details.

Have worked as a licensed customs broker or in a regulated export environment (e.g., EAR, ITAR).

Are curious, detail‑oriented, and calm in the face of ambiguity or unexpected challenges.

Learn enough about our product to understand our approach.
