**Title:** Chief Engineer **Location:** **Job Summary:** The Chief Engineer oversees the maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all systems, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and energy controls, are functioning efficiently. This role manages maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and timely completion of projects to maintain guest satisfaction and hotel operations. **Essential Functions and Duties:**Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.***Required Experience, Education, and Skills:** Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management. Strong knowledge of systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls. Proven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and evaluation. Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail in project planning and execution. Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with other departments, vendors, and management. Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols, including training staff on emergency procedures.
