If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.## Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an **Associate production supervisor** located in **Milpitas, CA.**Reporting to the **Production Manager** the **Associate Production Supervisor** in charge of directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.Shift - 6:30am-2:30pm M-F**What a typical day looks like:*** Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsible for the line’s success.* Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.* Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.* Experience in Microsoft office and KPIs, and understanding the lean manufacturing process.* Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.* Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.* Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.* May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.* Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.* Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.* Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.* Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.* Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.* Ensures compliance to manufacturing standards.**The experience we’re looking to add to our team:*** Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex functional standards.* Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of Flex policies and procedures.* Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
