Responsibilities
Generating and simulating operational level plans to explore possibilities for defending the ultimate high ground in a future space war.
Dynamically optimizing terrestrial and space‑based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness.
Strategically optimizing the placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities.
Program Award Note This position is contingent upon the program award expected in January 2026.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Development experience with Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Experience with application containerization (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Containers) in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift).
Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience with CI/CD – deployment pipelines, automated build, and configuration tools.
A U.S. Citizen who can obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills
Recent on‑program experience as a technical software lead (architecture design, technical research, project management, code quality standards, etc.).
Development experience with Linux and shell scripting (bash, ash, ksh).
Familiarity with the Space Domain.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team relationships and the ability to deliver exceptional results.
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and rapidly changing environment.
Strong time management skills to meet on‑time project delivery.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; the candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. The clearance level needed is TS/SCI.
Pay Range The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $113,900 – $200,905. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
