MathWorks is seeking an engineer with technical experience and interest in the areas of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD). By deeply engaging and partnering with automotive customers, you will influence the way they develop and verify their systems using MathWorks tools. The work will involve recommending technical approaches and developing proof of concept solutions. The area of work will include simulation and verification of path planning, perception, and controls algorithms. An additional area of focus is on Computer Vision applications with implementation on GPUs.

This position is based in Bangalore with travel generally throughout India specific to various customer visits and seminars. Travel time can be expected to amount to approximately 30‑40% with trips generally no longer than four days. Though far less frequent, some international travel is expected.

Responsibilities

Build instant credibility in front of customers by leveraging the industry experience and serve as a primary advisor to select customers for deep technical engagement

Lead engagements with key Tier‑1 suppliers and OEM’s in the ADAS/AD area by presenting MathWorks’ tools capabilities, vision, and lead them by defining technical proof of concept projects and driving them forward

Work closely with sales and other customer‑facing staff to provide technical guidance for successful adoption of MathWorks tools

Advocate for the future direction of MathWorks products based on customer interactions

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications Plusses:

Experience in ADAS/ Automated Driving domain or applications

Experience with image processing and development of computer vision systems is a plus

Experience in developing path planning algorithms

Working knowledge of MATLAB is preferred

Working knowledge of Simulink is nice to have

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly motivated toward working directly with customers
