Job Responsibilities:

Build components used by millions of fans worldwide.

Connect UI components to live APIs to bring interfaces to life.

Collaborate with native teams for seamless webview integrations within ESPN Fantasy apps.

Support live event coverage and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal user experience.

Mentor teammates in an open, respectful, and empathetic environment.

Partner with engineering teams to solve complex problems considering performance, scalability, and resiliency.

Architect web frameworks for shared solutions across platforms.

Lead code and architectural reviews.

Conduct competitive frontend industry research.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of relevant industry experience.

Mastery of frontend web development technologies and principles.

Extensive experience with JavaScript and frameworks like React and NodeJS.

Experience with task automation tools such as GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Actions, WebPack.

Full stack programming experience including JavaScript/TypeScript/NodeJS, Lua, shells scripting.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to research, learn, and evangelize new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with iOS and Android development, including cross-platform solutions like React Native and Flutter.

Understanding of AWS services such as CloudWatch, EC2, S3.

HTML / CSS experience is preferred but not required.
