As a Principal Project Engineer/Manager in San Diego, CA, you will have the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the San Diego area. As a RICK team member, you will help clients and communities turn their dreams into reality. You will learn from and work alongside industry-leading experts and together shape the future of tomorrow. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have a BSCE degree, CA Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (or the ability to obtain it within 6 months), plus a minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience; or the equivalent work experience of 12-15 years in this industry. Candidates must demonstrate: Independent thought and decision-making abilities Strong leadership and supervisory skills with at least three years of management experience supervising technical staff Project management capabilities Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, public agencies, and in-house staff Managerial experience should include: Management of construction documents and contracts Construction support and field coordination Project schedules and budgets management Preparation of contracts, proposals, and scopes of work Experience in client and public-agency interactions Management of design and support staff Technical experience should include: Performing conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies considering land use, zoning, site constraints, infrastructure, and regulatory issues Preparation and processing of regulatory and public improvement plans (private and public) Constructability reviews Experience with construction support services Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures in California and the region is strongly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
