Job Overview Control Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control systems, machinery, and processes. They work in various applications including industrial controls, cybersecurity, building automation, water/wastewater, power controls and protection, energy management, and transportation systems. They are technical experts in areas such as advanced process control, instrumentation, distributed control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Control engineers use these skills to design and implement solutions to solve our customer's most complex needs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop control system hardware and software, including creating design documents, requirements analysis, and subsystem designs.

Perform QA/QC and technical reviews of designs.

Lead programming and configuration efforts for automation and SCADA applications, including troubleshooting and deploying PLCs, RTUs, and HMI systems.

Develop and execute testing, commissioning, and maintenance procedures.

Perform troubleshooting on service calls, hardware/software upgrades, and replacements.

Qualifications

Proficient in programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.

Experience with PLCs and SCADA platforms like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and others.

Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Educational requirements include a Master's degree in electrical or automation engineering with 0-2 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience.

Additional Requirements

Experience reading electrical/control schematics.

Ability to work at customer sites, possessing a valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Excellent communication skills and ability to attend in-person meetings.
