We’re looking for an experienced Senior Principal Enterprise Solution Architect to bridge the gap between business needs and the IT strategic roadmap. Responsibilities include ensuring scalable, secure IT infrastructure, platforms, and middleware software that support corporate and brand requirements, operational processes, and integration between applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive IT experience, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry, and will lead design discussions, provide strategic guidance, recommend middleware solutions, and approve final architectures to align with brand priorities, reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance business practices. Responsibilities Develop and communicate strategic visions for implementing new solutions and optimizing existing technology to improve processes and drive innovation. Evaluate enterprise-wide technology ecosystems to identify synergies and constraints impacting operations. Recommend solutions to address gaps between systems and outside of brand IT. Guide IT leaders and solutions architects in addressing business challenges. Lead the development of a middleware roadmap supporting business priorities. Design technical architecture based on business requirements and process gaps. Provide final approval for middleware architectural plans. Stay current on industry technologies to improve operational systems. Recommend off-the-shelf solutions and integration platforms for automation and connectivity via APIs. Evaluate AI projects for synergy and resource efficiency. Foster collaboration across IT teams to ensure timely delivery and executive buy-in. Ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards. Educate and support IT teams on new solutions and technologies. Requirements Deep understanding of cruise/travel business processes, systems, and technical integration. Expertise in application architecture, design, and administration. Experience with systems integration and development. Proven leadership in large-scale technology initiatives with budget management. Strong project management and team leadership skills. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities. 10+ years leading or influencing solutions architecture teams. 5+ years of software development experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a customer-service orientation. This position follows a schedule of three in-office days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) with flexibility for remote work the rest of the week.
