Charlotte, NC Job Description: The role is for a senior software engineer with hands-on experience in Angular, Java, and distributed computing technologies. The role involves building and supporting the model development and execution platform for Global Risk Analytics. Responsibilities: Design and build horizontally scalable components within the major platform under development. Review and provide code feedback focusing on best practices, performance, and stability optimizations. Become a subject matter expert on code deployed on our platform and mentor other developers. Write reusable and extendable code, contributing to the core platform. Work towards simplifying our software and improving processes. Challenge yourself and peers to continually improve. Required Skills: Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming. Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures. Proficiency in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and OpenShift cloud technologies. Experience developing interactive web-based solutions. Familiarity with agile software development, including daily standups and biweekly grooming sessions. Nice to have: knowledge of AMPS WebSocket and Spark. Experience in building distributed, scalable, and complex microservices. Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. Self-motivated with a passion for learning and problem solving. Desired Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Math.
