We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rare Condition Account Manager (RCAM) to lead relationships in the rare disease space, engaging with high-value healthcare professionals, executives, and stakeholders within Top Centers of Excellence in the assigned region. The primary focus is demand generation within the Growth & Genetics portfolio, calling on Pediatric Endocrinologists, Geneticists, Orthopedists, and Pediatricians, with experience in large healthcare systems.

This role is crucial for driving therapy adoption through education, patient reimbursement support, and long-term value creation in complex healthcare environments. The ideal candidate will understand the dynamics of rare diseases, including limited patient populations, distribution networks, and competitive landscapes.

This is a field-based position covering the Southwest Region (St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ).

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate demand within the Growth & Genetics portfolio and develop expert knowledge to engage in clinical discussions with healthcare professionals.
  • Promote approved indications and product safety profiles to support on-label prescribing.
  • Create and execute a territory business plan to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Establish strategic relationships with stakeholders in centers of excellence and academic institutions.
  • Lead planning efforts to optimize access and adoption of therapies and identify referral networks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Patient Services, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access) for aligned goals.
  • Provide insights on treatment trends, patient needs, and competitors.
  • Stay informed on market trends, policies, patient advocacy, and competitive activity.
  • Experience with launching or supporting ultra-rare disease products is preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% and cover a large geographic area.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in strategic account management, market access, or health system sales in rare disease, biotech, or specialty pharma.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and impact product access and revenue.
  • Strong product knowledge and ethical engagement skills.
  • Track record of top performance.
  • Knowledge of rare disease market dynamics, distribution, patient support, and reimbursement models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Clinical and business acumen with patient-focused solutions.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IDNs, PBMs, and specialty pharmacies.
  • Success in managing multiple products.

The annual base salary ranges from $195,000 to $215,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
