Metal Fabrication Shop Assistant/Grinder - 2nd shift (12:30pm to 9pm)

Pridestaff is currently seeking a Shop Assistant for a steel manufacturing company located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.Pay Rate: $19-20Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:30pm to 9pm Job Duties: The Shop Assistant will assist in various duties in the hardware area such as grinding, bending sheets, rolling sheets, and loading and unloading.Roles and responsibilities:Help pull hardwareAble to read work ordersGrinding, bending sheet and rolling sheetsLoading and Unloading in the Glomar DepartmentPerform other duties as assignedBilingual (preferred)Mechanically inclinedMust be flexible to perform other job duties in other departmentsManufacturing experience preferredJob Requirements:Must have at least 6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentMechanically inclined - Ability to operate tools and machinery effectively including the ability to use a hand grinder. Flexibility - must be willing to perform various job duties across different departments. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continuously.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl. Ability to work outside yard to load and unload when needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.Must have and wear steel toe shoes or boots or composite shoes throughout shift as well as assigned PPE (Ear plugs, safety glasses, etc.)Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check prior to start.
