Director of Sales, Regional Natural Grocery Retailers & Independent Retailers (INFRA, NCG, NGA)

About the Role:

Director of Sales for Regional Natural Grocery Retailers and Independent Retailers This role covers Natural Regional Retailers supported by Natural Distribution sales coverage, including KeHE Natural & UNFI Natural. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead sales, account, and distributor relationships Manage Sales Buyers at Distribution Center Level for Natural & Independent Retailers purchasing from KeHE or UNFI Align organization strategies with business plan execution Drive vertical and horizontal growth by category, product, SKU, and retailer Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies and sales plans for National Key Accounts and Regional Natural Account Chains Manage relationships with sales brokers for Natural Markets and independent natural markets Collaborate with Product, Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams for inventory management and growth strategies Coordinate with accounting and marketing on trade spend, promotions, and profitability Manage trade show activities including UNFI shows, KeHE shows, Fancy Foods, and Regional Account Shows Establish sales forecasts and growth plans with senior management and brokers Process orders efficiently and resolve service, billing, or pricing issues Complete and present sales reports regularly to leadership Experience Required: Extensive experience in natural product sales, ideally with start-up and major brands Proven success with natural distributors like KeHE, UNFI, DPI, Dot Foods, and others Expertise in food ingredients, supplements, vitamins, and brain health products Strong analytical skills with ability to present to executive leadership Innovative mindset for sales growth and strategic change Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels Financial acumen, including P&L management Leadership qualities with ability to develop and motivate teams Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships Technical knowledge in data systems, supply chain, and inventory management Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field 10+ years in natural sales, preferably in beverages or natural foods Experience with West Coast Natural Retail accounts is preferred Ability to work remotely with travel to accounts and trade shows Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time Location:
