We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Equipment Repair to join our team in the Construction industry. As a Mechanic Equipment Repair, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, cranes, and excavators. Your main goal will be to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in diesel mechanics or related field
Experience with welding and fabrication
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards
Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs regularly.
Must be able to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods (8–12 hours/day).
Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and kneeling.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Must have good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Must be able to hear instructions and warnings in a noisy environment.
Skills
As a Mechanic Equipment Repair, you will use your strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy equipment. You will also use your ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
