Business Solutions Manager at Ultimate Staffing
We're seeking a skilled HR Generalist to support Glendale Community College with temporary coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished HR professional who brings strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, and employee support. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and confident handling day-to-day HR operations in an educational or public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and GCC policies
Maintain accurate employee records and support audits
Assist with leave administration (FMLA, CFRA, ADA)
Support policy interpretation and ensure compliance in day-to-day practices
Partner with hiring managers to support end-to-end recruitment
Post job openings, screen applicants, coordinate interviews
Handle onboarding paperwork, new hire orientations, and credential verifications
Serve as a point of contact for staff questions regarding HR policies
Support investigations or fact-finding as needed (under direction of HR leadership)
Assist with employee communications and HR-related inquiries
Manage confidential files and HR documentation
Assist with benefits coordination and updates
Support special projects and additional HR initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (required) - HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
2+ years of HR Generalist experience
Strong understanding of CA labor laws, HR compliance, and HR best practices
Experience with recruitment and onboarding workflows
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality
Pay range: $28-36/hr Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, fully onsite
Base pay range
$28.00/hr - $35.00/hr
