Janitor – Camp Bullis PCSI is looking for a Janitor at its San Antonio (Camp Bullis) Site. Performs a variety of routine, unskilled and semi‑skilled housekeeping work while maintaining the premises of office buildings, apartment houses and/or other commercial or institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This position will report to the Project Manager and is based at Camp Bullis in San Antonio. Responsibilities Perform routine, unskilled, and semi‑skilled housekeeping work to maintain office buildings, apartment houses, and other commercial or institutional buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, break rooms, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. Sweeps and mops floors; may operate a floor buffer occasionally. Cleans rugs and/or vacuums carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture and equipment; polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets, ashtrays, and cleans them. Transports trash, waste, and recyclables to disposal areas. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Opens, closes, locks, and unlocks facilities as needed. Keeps records of work completed. Moves and sets up furniture, pictures, etc. as needed and assigned. Polices grounds, maintaining parking lots and walkways free of debris. Conserves cleaning supplies. Maintains assigned equipment in satisfactory and working condition. Reads and understands correct dilution rates for cleaning chemicals. Follows all facility safety policies and procedures. Complies with all City, State, and Federal agency requirements. Makes all decisions based on safety first. Reads and fully understands the “Material Safety Data Sheets” (MSDS) for all chemicals and solutions used in our processes and procedures. No requirement for software use. Uses general cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, pails, etc. Uses equipment such as buffers, vacuums, fans, etc. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience as a Janitor preferred or any combination of education and training that demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the work. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above. Physical Demands Pushing objects up to 100 pounds; lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Squatting and bending by bending at the knees. Climbing or descending ladders and stairs. Walking touring the facility approximately 90% of the time during working hours. Mental Demands Ability to verbally relate to others; willingness to assist others when needed. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Working Conditions Exposure to dirt, dust, odors, chemicals, and/or infectious disease. May be required to work in aseptic areas and/or outdoors. Must be available to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, some weekends, and holidays. Other Requirements Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening. Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record. Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays. If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
