Bernhard Capital Partners, a client in the financial services and private equity industry, is seeking a highly organized, professional, and dependable office assistant to support daily operations in their New Orleans, Louisiana office. Emergent Method is facilitating this search on their behalf.
This is a full-time, on‑site position based in New Orleans.
Key responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for the office, providing a welcoming and professional environment
Answer and route phone calls and emails in a timely, courteous manner
Greet and assist visitors and manage all front desk responsibilities
Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, packages, and courier services
Assist with scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars as directed
Set up, break down, organize, and maintain conference and meeting rooms
Support staff with clerical tasks, data entry, document preparation, and office errands
Help prepare internal reports, presentations, and other administrative documents
Maintain inventory of office and kitchen supplies, anticipating needs and placing orders
Monitor office equipment and coordinate maintenance or replacement as needed
Coordinate facility‑related needs, including service requests and routine maintenance
Assist with travel arrangements and expense reporting
Support HR‑related activities, including new hire onboarding coordination and workstation setup
Minimum qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary educational degree is preferred
At least two years of experience in office administration, operational support, customer service, reception, or similar administrative functions
Ability to work in an office setting during standard business hours
Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate the needs of the client
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Effective time management and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members, clients, and visitors
Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude dedicated to supporting staff and providing excellent service
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs in a dynamic office environment
