Description Of Duties

Title: Production Coordinator

Classification: Nonexempt

Hourly Rate: $27.00 p/hr

Schedule: Hybrid, (minimum 4 days in office)

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-6:00PM

Location: Van Nuys, CA

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Track the production calendar/timelines to ensure on time product delivery, accuracy of WIP data for cross-departmental reporting, and proactively problem solving to meet deliverables.
  • Update BOM with any changes made in fitting or from the design team.
  • Ensure production data is accurate. Partner with the production assistant to make sure purchase orders are up to date with any changes to units, cost, and delivery.
  • Ensure cross-functional launch data is entered in a timely manner and accurate.
  • Review vendor WIPs in detail on a weekly basis to ensure key dates are met.
  • Review and approve care label layouts.
  • Develop respectful and collaborative relationships with our vendor base with clear daily communication.
  • Send out fabric bookings for early books.
  • Send projection orders to vendors and confirm bulk deliveries and time in action.
  • Follow up on QC issues and communicate with vendors on QC failures and reports.
  • Attend fittings and provide feedback on delivery/deadlines.
  • Continuously communicate to team members on product updates, approvals, and issues.
  • Follow up on pending samples, submits, and information from factories on a daily basis.
  • Create boards for design review.
  • Review trims, lab dips, fabrics and provide comments for vendors.
  • Support company goals related to Environmental & Social Responsibility.
  • Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Apparel Production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Google sheets.
  • Netsuite proficiency preferred.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in both written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to strategize the objectives and drive the various initiatives of the Production department to be accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change.
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation.
  • Periods sitting at a desk, typing, sketching and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift/move/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
  • Able to operate equipment such as computers, copy machines, phones.
  • Must be able to access various areas of a given location.
  • Compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • The hybrid model may be rescinded at any time due to business needs or the company’s discretion.
