What You’ll Do Relationship Management – 30%
Showcase anticipation and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for the team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and relationships within the industry to enhance plan negotiations and opportunities
Build relationships across Horizon Media departments (i.e. Business Solutions, Operations, Analytics, Social Marketplace/Programmatic), building trust and accountability
Act as primary resource for junior team members when faced with challenges navigating conversations with internal and external partners and clients
Act as day‑to‑day resource for client team to ensure prioritization of projects, understanding of goals and media that aligns with objectives to drive client business
Team Management and Delegation – 30%
Manage and develop junior team member(s), creating growth plans and providing clear career goals
Manage performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, identifying training needs for improved performance, setting goals for career development and ensuring actions are taken
Provide education and training on best practices, media principles, and industry at large
Participate in interview process for junior team members’ roles
Guide team in ensuring team members have challenging, level‑appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills, contributing to overall team success
Responsible for leaning into Horizon Media initiatives while encouraging junior team members to participate and engage within the larger integrated community
Integrated Media Buying – 25%
Plan, execute and steward integrated media plans
Guide team to leverage Horizon Media’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications within linear & digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge to campaign strategy and client goals
Work with Supervisor to oversee junior team members and manage expectations with integrated leadership in the creation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions
Media Negotiating & Buying – 10%
Negotiate across both the traditional linear & digital landscapes
Provide final sign off on RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, act as point of escalation for partner negotiations and stewardship of key partnerships
Act as a primary resource for team as they work through the planning process, while providing strategic guidance
Lead collaboration with other Horizon Media teams (Business Solutions, Investment, etc.) towards 360 partnerships, incorporating relevant extensions
Reporting & Analysis – 5%
Act as escalation point for junior team members as they work through optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across linear, display, mobile, social and video
Encourage junior team members to draw thoughtful, data‑based conclusions that illustrate the ‘why’ behind performance, and map back to integrated strategy
Collaborate with Business Solutions and Analytics team to establish measurement plans and learning agendas

Preferred Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in traditional video buying and/or digital buying
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to clients
Leadership and supervisory experience in developing media professionals, including strategic and management skills
Strong grasp of marketing principles, analytics and concepts
Expert in negotiating and constructing video media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation
Strong experience navigating cross‑department relationships

Salary Range Salary Range
$105,000.00 – $135,000.00
A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
