About the Job We are partnering with a leading venture capital firm to recruit a

Venture Capital Associate

to join their technology investment team, with a strong focus on

SaaS, enterprise software, AI, agentic AI, and broader technology sectors . The investment team is backing founders from early to late-stage across North America’s most innovative tech categories.

As an Associate, you will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle—including sourcing, diligence, market research, thesis development, and portfolio support. This position offers meaningful exposure to founders, deal evaluation, and strategic portfolio work from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Source new investment opportunities across SaaS, software, AI, and emerging agentic AI markets

Conduct detailed market, product, and competitive analysis across target sectors

Build financial models, evaluate KPI trends, analyze unit economics, and assess product-market fit

Support full lifecycle deal execution, including diligence, founder meetings, data room review, and investment memos

Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and recommendation summaries

Develop and refine sector theses on fast-growing technology categories

Build strong relationships with founders, accelerators, ecosystem partners, and technical communities

Support portfolio companies with hiring, growth strategy, financial analytics, and follow-on fundraising

Track portfolio performance and contribute to ongoing reporting and analysis

Candidate Requirements

2–5 years of experience in

Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or a high-growth technology company

Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, KPI analysis, and market evaluation

Demonstrated interest in SaaS, software, AI/ML, or emerging agentic AI technologies

Background in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or related disciplines

Strong academic performance; top-tier university background is beneficial but not required

Excellent communication skills—comfortable speaking with founders, presenting internally, and crafting investment memos

Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial environment

Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco (or open to remote, fund-dependent)
