Store Space Self Storage is looking to hire an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in South Elgin, IL. The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00-$17.00 based on experience. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will serve as an invaluable member of our team by striving to build a clean, safe, and positive experience for our customers. You will be directly responsible for increasing sales by converting opportunities to rentals and upselling. Your day-to-day would involve caring for the facility, inside and out, as well as collections, deposits, and responding to customer inquiries. Leading by example and demonstrating our CORE values, you\'ll directly impact our company\'s growth and success. You\'ll have high expectations for yourself, sharpen your skills, build relationships and impeccable industry-specific acumen; plus, you\'ll love working with your team each day. Serve as an invaluable member of the team by maintaining a clean, safe, and positive customer experience. Increase sales by converting opportunities to rentals and upselling. Care for the facility, including inspections and maintenance tasks. Handle collections, deposits, and respond to customer inquiries. Demonstrate leadership and uphold Store Space\'s CORE values. Qualifications for an Assistant Store Manager
2+ years of customer service experience (e.g., retail sales, restaurant, front desk, site management). 1+ years of customer-centered sales and collections (cold calling) experience. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications. Valid driver\'s license with access to reliable transportation. Able to walk/sit/stand for extended periods of time. Able to operate POS and other typical office machines. Experience in a leadership role or supervisory experience is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who can prioritize and multi-task independently in a fast-paced environment. You should also be an excellent communicator, organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic, and a team player. Work Schedule
We\'re open 7 days a week from 9am to 5:30pm. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
