Manager, Global Supply Management Join Lunar Energy as a Senior Global Supply Manager—a strategic leader in our mission to transition homes to 100% clean energy. You will own our mechanical and electromechanical commodity strategies, managing a supply base and partnering with engineering, product, finance, and other stakeholders to build a resilient global supply chain that drives product roadmap and business growth. You will strategically manage RFQs to mitigate supply chain risks and reduce Cost of Goods Sold, while serving as a key partner to our finance team and leading high-impact sourcing initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commodity strategy for assigned markets, leading end‑to‑end lifecycle from analysis to contract negotiation and performance management.

Strategically manage RFQ processes, designing frameworks that reduce supply risk and lower COGs.

Drive cost and value optimization through should‑cost modeling and complex negotiations to achieve year‑over‑year improvements.

Serve as a strategic partner to engineering teams, influencing product design and technology roadmaps with insights on supply chain capabilities and market trends.

Collaborate with the finance team to develop business cases, manage budgets, and align cost‑reduction goals.

Manage high‑stakes supplier relationships, cultivating executive‑level contacts and acting as primary point of contact for commercial and operational issues.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with part availability, lead times, and global market conditions, ensuring business continuity.

Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, delivering clear, concise updates to senior leadership on supply chain status and progress.

Desired Skills

7+ years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain with a proven focus on mechanical and electromechanical commodities.

Deep domain expertise in sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, CNC/machined parts, or fasteners.

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.

Demonstrated track record of closing complex, multi‑million dollar contracts and commercial agreements.

Strategic acumen to analyze data, craft sourcing strategies, and present compelling business cases to executives.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the confidence to influence decisions and challenge the status quo.

Compensation This position offers a base salary range of $170,000 – $220,000 USD, subject to negotiation based on experience, location, and other business factors. Total compensation includes base pay, equity, and benefits.
