The VP of Engineering Platform will lead NEOGOV’s global engineering organization, driving technical excellence, innovation, and scalability across all product lines. This executive will oversee platform modernization, DevOps, data systems, and AI-driven innovation initiatives that strengthen NEOGOV’s SaaS offerings. Reporting directly to the CTO, the VP will define the long‑term engineering strategy, build and mentor a high‑performing team, and drive the transformation of NEOGOV’s technology stack to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving customer base. This role will balance hands‑on technical leadership with organizational strategy, ensuring that engineering execution aligns with company growth and innovation goals.
Platform Engineering Responsibilities
Lead the platform engineering strategy to create shared services, integration frameworks, and common data models that power all products.
Drive architecture transformation toward a cloud‑native, scalable, and modular platform that supports faster delivery and innovation.
Deliver core platform capabilities such as unified login, centralized administration, customer onboarding, shared APIs, data services, analytics, and AI enablement.
Champion engineering maturity through automation, observability, DevOps best practices, and AI‑SDLC based development.
Partner with Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align technology investments with company objectives and customer outcomes.
Build, mentor, and scale high‑performing engineering team with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Establish clear engineering standards and best practices across development, testing, deployment, and security disciplines.
Collaborate across teams to accelerate delivery cycles and strengthen coordination between product and engineering functions.
Oversee the implementation of measurable performance metrics that track engineering velocity, uptime, and quality improvements.
Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve system reliability while fostering a mindset of innovation and experimentation.

What You Have
10+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in senior leadership positions.
Proven success leading large‑scale SaaS platform or enterprise technology organizations.
Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), architecture, and DevOps best practices.
Experience leading modernization and transformation initiatives within engineering organizations.
Strong understanding of AI/ML, automation, and data‑driven engineering processes.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale high‑performing teams across distributed environments.
