Role Overview We are looking for a highly experienced legal professional to oversee core legal functions including corporate governance, contract management, employment law, regulatory compliance, and data privacy. You will serve as a trusted legal advisor, helping to shape legal strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Negotiation & Commercial Transactions : Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex agreements including SaaS, vendor, partnership, and licensing contracts.
Corporate Governance & Compliance : Oversee entity management and advise leadership on corporate governance and regulatory risks.
Employment Law & HR Advisory : Work with HR to manage employee-related compliance, workplace policies, and labor law adherence.
Product & Technology Compliance : Advise engineering and product teams on legal aspects of product development, AI regulations, and tech laws.
Data Privacy & Protection : Design and implement privacy frameworks in line with
GDPR , Indian data protection laws, and global privacy standards.
Litigation & Dispute Management : Coordinate with external counsel and internal teams on legal disputes, investigations, and litigation matters.
Cross-Departmental Legal Strategy : Partner with finance, sales, compliance, and business units to align legal priorities with organizational goals.
Legal Operations & Process Development : Create scalable templates, policies, and legal processes to improve efficiency and reduce legal exposure.
Required Qualifications
Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent); Bar Council membership preferred
Minimum
10 years
of legal experience, ideally in the
SaaS or tech sector
Strong knowledge of contract law, employment law, corporate governance, and privacy regulations
Demonstrated ability to offer practical legal advice aligned with business needs
Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills
Experience navigating global legal landscapes in high-growth environments
