Project Architect and Senior Project Architect with Residential Experience (Washington, DC)
Cunningham | Quill Architects is an award-winning architectural practice based in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC dedicated to design excellence. Responsibilities Support single-family residential projects and contribute to our diverse portfolio that includes multi‑family residential, institutional, adaptive reuse and historic preservation, mixed‑use commercial, master planning, and urban design.
Qualifications
b>Professional Licensure
is required;
Project Architects with minimum 5 years of experience as an architect on built projects with project‑management experience;
Senior Project Architects with minimum 8 years of experience as an architect on built projects with project‑management experience;
Graduate Degree in Architecture from a NCARB‑accredited program;
Detail‑oriented and proactive individual with the ability to multitask multiple project efforts effectively and efficiently;
Demonstrates knowledge of local building codes and zoning ordinances;
Experience managing projects and teams;
Experience leading the development of drawing documentation and specifications;
Possess technical detailing experience with a good knowledge of building assemblies and systems, construction techniques and technologies;
Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to interact independently and effectively with clients, regulatory groups, and other team members;
Experience in construction administration;
Required program experience: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch‑up, and Adobe Suite;
LEED accreditation is a plus.
