JCW Group, a partner of a fast‑growing insurance provider, is hiring a Staff Accountant to strengthen its finance team in Stamford, CT. This hybrid role offers hands‑on exposure to IFRS and U.S. statutory accounting across a multi‑entity insurance structure.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Help prepare internal and external financial reports.
Support intercompany accounting and balance confirmations.
Partner with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally within financial services or public accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward certification a plus.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with accounting systems.
