Director Quality Assurance

We are looking for a leader to define and oversee our Quality Assurance (QA) function. This position will be responsible for designing and implementing QA processes and ownership and guaranteeing that our digital solutions meet the highest standards for reliability, security, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will combine strategic foresight with hands‑on technical skills. Responsibilities

Formulate and execute a QA framework that supports IA goals and aligns with the product roadmap. Establish clear QA processes and ownership across our teams (from testing and automation to release readiness). Enable ongoing improvement and data‑driven decisions. Provide a visible structure that can be shared with customers as evidence of how IA embeds quality and reliability into its products. Define and track KPIs to monitor and communicate progress. Design and deploy automated testing solutions. Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting. Ensure validation of data integrity and performance across all product features. Partner with security and compliance teams to verify data protection, privacy controls, and adherence to standards such as SOC 1, SOC 2, GDPR, and state insurance regulations. Develop testing protocols for regulatory reporting and audit compliance. Oversee risk assessment and mitigation related to product quality. Work closely across teams, including engineering, compliance, customer success, product, and client implementation to embed quality throughout the development process and ensure a successful client experience. Stay informed about the latest QA tools, methodologies, and AI‑driven testing innovations in SaaS and insurtech. Specialized Skills

8+ years’ experience in software quality assurance or similar role. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Advanced skills in automation and performance testing tools. Proficient in API testing, performance testing, and CI/CD integration. Familiarity with cloud platforms and CRM tools. Experience with compliance and security testing (SOC 2, GDPR). Outstanding influencing, interpersonal, communications skills. Strong problem‑solving, able to analyze issues and find effective solutions. Strong knowledge of analytics and life insurance operations. Experience implementing technology systems. Strong leadership, team‑building, and communication skills. Challenges
