A New York–based private equity firm is nearing the close of a multi‑million dollar fund and is seeking an
*experienced*
Private Equity Senior Associate to join the investment team, with a fast tracked promotion to VP.
This is a true execution role in a lean, high‑ownership environment — ideal for someone who wants to run the work throughout the full investment cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead core workstreams across the full deal lifecycle: sourcing, diligence, modeling, IC materials, and transaction execution
Build detailed financial models and evaluate investment opportunities with limited oversight
Drive due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, operational, and legal workstreams
Prepare, refine, and present investment memos to senior leadership
Support portfolio companies post‑close across strategic, operational, and financial initiatives
Maintain strong market awareness across industrials, business services, consumer, and other generalist sectors
Qualifications
4–6 years of experience in private equity investing. (REQUIRED!)
Demonstrated lower middle market deal execution experience
Exceptional analytical, modeling, and valuation skills
Ability to take ownership, run point on workstreams, and operate in a lean team
Generalist mindset; sector flexibility is a plus (industrials, business services, consumer advantageous)
Compensation & Start
