About the Role Generac is seeking a dynamic Senior Director of Global Supply Chain to lead strategic supply chain initiatives that transform our global operations. This role is ideal for a proven leader with multi‑site oversight experience, a strong background in large‑scale industrial manufacturing, and a track record of success in high‑revenue environments.

As Senior Director, you will champion standardized processes to enhance customer fulfillment, optimize material flow, and reduce operating costs and Primary Working Capital. Leveraging Generac’s Operating Model, you will implement a demand‑driven, pull‑based replenishment strategy in a Configure‑To‑Order (CTO) environment.

Major Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

Develop and deploy global supply chain strategies aligned with business growth, operational excellence, and Generac’s disciplined operating model.

Lead initiatives in inventory optimization using PFEP, ABCXYZ segmentation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies.

Partner with Strategic Sourcing to improve material margins and reduce lead times.

Collaborate with corporate supply chain and business group leadership on global initiatives and standardization.

Operational Execution

Implement lean material flow systems including pull‑based replenishment, Kanban, Heijunka, and point‑of‑use delivery.

Standardize supply chain processes across facilities to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.

Drive improvements in production scheduling, warehouse management, and supplier continuity.

Drive improved material flow throughout the Industrial supply chain network.

Align supply chain execution with demand planning and production capabilities using SIOP and “One Number Plan” methodology.

Engage with Engineering to drive excess and obsolete reduction and avoidance initiatives.

Team & Organizational Leadership

Build and lead high‑performing supply chain teams across CTO facilities.

Direct SIOP, E&O, and Material Flow functions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Develop talent and transition teams from push‑based to pull‑based systems.

Collaborate with site operations leaders to align strategy and execution.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field)

Certification / License None specified.

Work Experience

10 years progressive Supply Chain experience.

5 years leading multi‑site lean and/or configure‑to‑order manufacturing environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong background in lean principles, production scheduling, and materials management.

Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in lead time, on‑time delivery, working capital, and material margins.

Strong influencing skills across senior leadership, cross‑functional teams, and global operations.

Demonstrated success in ERP‑driven environments and supply chain transformation.

High adaptability, strategic thinking, and operational rigor.

Preferred Job Requirements Education

Advanced Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

Certification / License

Certifications in APICS, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
