Franciscan Medical Group, a part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a full‑time Rad Tech for our Franciscan Ortho Clinic in Burien, WA. Free parking and no weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required.

Job Summary Operates radiology equipment to create clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.

Essential Duties

Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.

Instructs patients regarding procedures, selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis, and observes patients for vital signs during examination.

Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment, cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiological equipment, maintains examination rooms, and stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies.

Develops and processes radiological film, if applicable. Examines radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.

Delivers film to radiologists for reading/interpretation through various computer software systems, if applicable, and prepares films and/or digital copies for FMG physicians/providers or outside provider needs.

Participates in training employees, residents, and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.

Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested; enhances professional growth through continuing education programs, conferences, and workshops.

Education and Work Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology, equivalent on‑the‑job training, military service, or course.

Preferred: one year of experience as a radiology technologist within the last two years.

Licensure and Certifications

State of Washington certification as a Radiology Technologist.

Washington State American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT/CCRT) certification required.

Must have current CPR certification or be certified within 30 days of hire date.

Pay Range $36.95 – $56.94 /hour
