Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Blount Construction Company, Inc. We are seeking a seasoned Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and machinery. Diagnose and perform equipment repairs in response to maintenance requests, in shop or in field locations. Perform service, maintenance, repair, and overhaul in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. Analyze and diagnose issues with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and electronic systems. Perform welding and brazing, fabricate, and modify parts, equipment, and miscellaneous structures and attachments. Conduct and record keep inspections to ensure vehicles meet Department of Transportation safety standards. Requirements Experience with diesel engine repair, brake repair, and heavy equipment operation. Knowledge of air brake systems and suspension components. Ability to work on industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and dealership vehicles. Proficiency in assembling and disassembling mechanical components. Clean MVR.
