Electrical Foreman at ALBD Electric & Cable.
Pay Range $40.00/hr – $55.00/hr
Job Summary An Electrical Foreman is responsible for daily operations, installing, altering, adding, and repairing electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials on construction projects. The role leads a team of electricians, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivers projects on schedule, within budget, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Jobsite: Execute projects safely and under budget. Ensure adherence to specifications and project schedules. Responsible for scheduling and conducting all job site inspections, testing, and owner training.
Project Records: Turn in documents such as Daily Job Logs, JHAs, and T&M tickets electronically via Procore/iPad.
Lead and Mentor: Manage a team of electricians, providing training, guidance, and resolving on‑site challenges.
Drawings: Review and cross‑reference complete sets of plans, design criteria, blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Complete as‑built drawings at project end.
Strong Communication Skills: Coordinate with field superintendents, director of field operations, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless operations.
Project, Material, & Equipment Planning: Proactively foresee, plan, and order materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming phases.
Installation: Provide oversight for the installation of switchboards, transformer raceways, and lighting control systems.
Troubleshoot: Resolve complex electrical issues during construction.
Equipment Operation: Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, single‑man lifts, and similar equipment to perform scope of work.
Safety: Maintain a “safety first” approach, complying with company policies, industry regulations, and standards. Keep work areas clean and organized.
Education, Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a foreman electrician.
Valid Certified General Electrician License.
OSHA 30 Certified is a plus.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and diverse environments, including confined spaces and heights.
Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and using hands and arms to operate equipment.
Good vision, strong balance, and no fear of heights.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, pipe bending, and NEC code.
Experience & Knowledge of Specialty Projects
Proven leadership skills with ability to manage a diverse team of 7+ efficiently.
Problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
Proficiency with computers and ability to navigate Outlook, Excel, and Procore.
