Responsibilities
Set and own all EMAT targets Integration of all work performed by the EMAT team Review and approve data from each of the EMAT Science Teams
Energy Management Thermal Management Aerodynamics Weight Management
Establish priorities for the work request of the science teams in EMAT Balance tradeoffs between VDE, PSE, driveability, and thermal to meet targets Work with extended teams to develop risk mitigation plans Own the EMAT Scorecard Point Contact for EMAT with VSM, Advanced, Platform, Top Hat, Design, Propulsion, and TSRC Teams Represent the organization at governance updates Work with TSRC, Planning, and Vehicle Teams for development and execution of CAFÉ and Green House Gas plans Ensure validation of customer functional objectives related to EMAT Ensuring voice of customer is met through identification of competitive vehicle set including benchmarking and futuring Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum of 10 years experience in product/powertrain development Experience in leading teams of diverse backgrounds Experience in product development dealing with multiple foreign markets Proven leadership skills Experience leading training initiatives Ability to speak to large groups, both technical and non-technical Comfort with both short and long term project management Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Engineering Experience/understand how to derive ABC coast down coefficients Understanding of VDE sensitivities and tradeoff’s Fuel economy and/or VDE simulation tool experience Experience with Powertrain System, Powertrain calibration, and/or Electrified Powertrain Systems Experience in fuel economy testing and data analysis Vehicle testing knowledge - chassis dyno, engine dyno, and an understanding of vehicle coast down Familiarity with aero/thermal virtual simulation tools, climatic testing, and road trips Experience with futuring and competitive benchmarking Experience with FE development tools
