VP R&D Finance – Regeneron

Regeneron is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to lead the Financial Planning & Analysis team as Vice President of R&D Finance. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance, the role will partner with R&D leadership to provide strategic financial oversight, operational analytics, and leadership for clinical trial, program, and functional budgets. The VP will also contribute to company-wide FP&A, support business development assessments, and mentor finance team members. Key Responsibilities

Lead the R&D Finance organization of 25 members, oversee a $3 billion budget, and grow to $6 billion. Partner with R&D leadership across Research, Clinical, Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls to align budgets, forecasts, and strategic initiatives. Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and resource management; lead quarterly R&D reviews to assess trends and spend drivers. Collaborate with the FP&A team to prepare company-level financials for budgets, forecasts, monthly and quarterly closes, and variance analysis. Support pipeline and scenario modeling, including long‑range planning, scenario analysis, and valuations to guide clinical program investment decisions and corporate development projects. Contribute to FP&A initiatives, driving process improvements and conducting ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision‑making. Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate R&D accruals and maintain SOX‑compliant financial systems. Participate in evaluating corporate development projects (M&A, licensing, clinical program investments). Desired Skills and Qualifications

20+ years of progressive experience in biotech/pharma financial leadership. Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial process improvement. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency with financial systems. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams. Exceptional business‑partnering skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA highly desirable. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and think strategically while maintaining operational excellence. Salary Range (Annual)

US$300,000.00 – $500,000.00 Benefits
