Adaptive Planning Systems Manager - San Fran - up to $160,000
I’m partnering with a high-growth software company in San Francisco that’s looking for a
Financial Systems Manager
to take ownership of their
Adaptive Planning
environment. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Technology - perfect for someone who enjoys both the functional and technical sides of FP&A systems.
What You’ll Do:
Own day-to-day administration of Adaptive Planning, including user management, security, integrations, and system governance
Lead configuration work: model changes, cube sheets, assumptions, level hierarchies, dimensions, workflows, and reporting structures
Partner with FP&A to support forecasting cycles, budget planning, and scenario modelling
Translate requirements into scalable system enhancements and process improvements
Collaborate with IT, Data, and Accounting on integrations and cross-platform data accuracy
Act as the internal subject matter expert for all things Adaptive Planning
What You Bring:
Background in
Finance/FP&A
or
IT Systems
Hands‑on experience
administering and configuring Adaptive Planning
in a corporate environment. Or, experience implementing Adaptive Planning as a Consultant.
Strong understanding of planning models, hierarchies, dimensions, and complex formulas
Experience improving budgeting/forecasting processes and supporting financial planning teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with both finance and technical stakeholders
Bonus: experience with integrations (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Snowflake, or similar)
Why It’s a Great Role:
Hybrid, ideally twice a week on-site, but flexibility with this
A high‑visibility position with real ownership over the planning platform
Join a modern software business where systems investment is prioritized, not an afterthought
Opportunity to shape the roadmap as the company scales
Medical insurance
Vision insurance
