Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified candidates for Part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach American Sign Language during the day in the Foreign Languages, ESL, and Speech department for Fall 2025.
The department is establishing a pool of candidates to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions. These positions are filled on an as-needed basis per semester and are on-going recruitment efforts. Applicants are contacted/hired for assignments based on college needs.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in American Sign Language or a Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language with substantial experience in teaching ASL.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in teaching, preferably at the college level, as well as experience in using educational technology in classroom or online adaptations and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies.
Experience with Brightspace is especially preferred.
