As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development, and test of launch vehicle mechanical systems. Your primary focus will be first stage landing gear systems that are critical to enabling safe, reliable, and cost-effective spaceflight. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. This position is based full-time at our Kent facility to enable direct, hands-on collaboration with hardware during development, assembly, testing, and integration activities.**Responsibilities:** **Qualifications:** Minimum of 5 years of recent experience designing aerospace or equivalent type mechanical system elements within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D modeling tools (PTC CREO Parametric preferred).Hands-on experience as a builder or tinkerer with personal projects demonstrating practical mechanical design and fabrication skills.Proficiency in performing hand calculations and applying first-principles physics to rapidly assess design feasibility and support engineering judgment.Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar tools.Experience with MATLAB / Python and Artificial Intelligence tools. Experience with mechanism kinematic analysis tools.Experience in aerospace device design such as doors, landing gear, separation systems, or deployable sensors.Experience with aerospace pneumatic systems. * Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check* Required for Certain Job Profiles:
