Software Development Engineer, SDE, Selling Partner Promotions
Build systems that drive Selling Partner growth and enhance customer experience on Amazon.com. As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE II), you'll help create software that will be used by Sellers, Vendors and Amazon business teams to create Coupons on Amazon website.
You will work directly with external and internal Selling Partners, and other engineering teams to build systems that unify seller and vendor promotions on a unified architecture. You will be part of a wider organization that has well-defined processes (Quarterly Planning, Office Hours, Feature Intake, etc) in place to help minimize churn so our engineers can focus on what they do best - building systems at scale for our Selling Partners and our customers.

Key job responsibilities
Design and architect the Coupons promotion platform while developing expertise in the Promotions business domain.
Drive end-to-end software component delivery through collaboration with Product, Technology, and Business teams.
Establish the technical foundation for future product iterations.
Lead system architecture and drive implementation of coding standards, testing protocols, and security practices.
Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team.
Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Maintain and improve software development lifecycle processes.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
