Our client, Milestone Technologies, Inc., is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Lab Tech Tier 2 to join our dynamic team supporting the development of our client's products. In this role, you will support installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers and devices within our lab environment, aiming to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the client's infrastructure. Responsibilities Provide explanations for operational performance results, analyzing metrics/KPIs against targets. Suggest improvements for operational performance and efficiency. Screen candidates for technical skills and team fit; collaborate during interviews. Assist in onboarding and training new hires. Ensure local execution of key deliverables and metrics. Support the client's server fleet using the ticketing system and adhere to SLAs. Serve as the point of contact for IC4 tier 1 technicians. Perform root cause analysis and drive resolutions for complex issues. Manage hardware installation, rack and stack, cabling, and decommissioning. Assist with data center projects and repairs. Debug hardware and OS-related issues using command-line tools. Confirm successful deployment using predefined scripts. Deploy device/system configurations via Linux and Windows OS. Execute turn-up/turn-down processes with cross-functional teams. Analyze data to diagnose systemic issues. Collaborate with hardware teams and vendors to resolve issues and improve hardware design. Create documentation for the global data center knowledge base. Contribute to process improvements and best practices. Participate in an on-call rotation (once a month). Maintain an orderly hardware test lab operation. Develop global standards for processes, workflow, and automation tools. Lead process improvements in data center operations. Communicate across technical teams. Support IT services across multiple locations. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Skills Hands-on experience with computer hardware. Strong leadership and relationship skills. Excellent communication skills in English. Ability to learn new software quickly. Multi-tasking abilities. Ability to safely lift and move at least 50 pounds. Qualifications High School Diploma, IT Degree, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of extensive Linux knowledge. #J-18808-Ljbffr
