Support engineering by researching, designing, developing, and testing according to established policies, procedures, government and compliance regulations, and customer requirements Establish product goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services Work with R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality to identify and develop product specifications that meet customer needs globally Develop and execute product development plans and programs for short and long-term growth Ensure proper documentation of drawings, specifications, and testing throughout the product development cycle Build prototypes and collaborate with lab technicians Develop test fixtures and methods; perform failure analysis Document results and generate test reports Analyze data from system logs and interface with vendors and cross-functional teams Create work instructions, design drawings, and procedures Collaborate with physicians to gather product information and set up evaluations Manage development results within budgets and communicate with management Provide technical guidance and advise on project direction Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with ≥6 years of experience, or Master’s with ≥4 years Experience in medical device development, DFM, and clinical environments preferred Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, regulations, and standards like IEC-60601-1 Proficiency in SolidWorks, statistical analysis, and failure analysis methods Six Sigma Certification and programming skills (R, Python, Matlab) are pluses Additional Details:

Location: Irvine, CA, with up to 20% travel Salary Range: $140,500 - $165,000, plus performance bonuses and benefits Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
