Compensation Data

The Sr. AD, Market Development – Obesity & MASLD/MASH supports the Metabolic Educator Team and drives strategic direction for initiatives that shape the evolving obesity and metabolic disease landscape. This role manages and coordinates the development, implementation, and monitoring of core elements of the U.S. brand plan, ensuring alignment with long‑term market development goals.

The Sr. AD plays a key role in defining and executing the strategic framework and materials for the Educator Team, translating complex clinical and scientific data into compelling educational content that supports consistent, evidence‑based engagement with healthcare professionals.

This position collaborates cross‑functionally with Medical, Marketing, Market Access, and Field Teams to ensure alignment of educator initiatives with brand strategy and contributes to broader efforts that advance understanding of obesity and associated metabolic diseases as chronic, treatable conditions.

This role is based on‑site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility (2–3 days per week on‑site).

Duties & Responsibilities

Manages and coordinates the development, implementation, and monitoring of core elements of the market development plan for obesity and associated metabolic diseases

Leads the strategic direction and development of content and resources for the Metabolic Educator Team, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and evolving scientific insights

Oversees the creation of high‑quality educational and promotional materials (e.g., field resources, presentations, training content, websites, digital assets) to support effective HCP engagement

Leads the development and implementation of market development tactics to ensure attainment of business goals

Collaborates with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial colleagues to ensure educator initiatives are evidence‑based and reflect the latest clinical data

Represents the brand with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert in obesity and metabolic disease market development

Monitors and analyzes product and market performance, competitive intelligence, and research insights to identify opportunities that enhance educator impact and advance brand objectives

Plays a lead role in developing and executing market development strategies and disease‑education initiatives that prepare the market, inform stakeholder engagement, and support long‑term growth in obesity and associated metabolic diseases

Supports annual business planning, product forecasting, and budget monitoring to ensure alignment with financial and strategic targets

Presents key initiatives, findings, and recommendations to Senior Management as needed

Contributes to Phase IV and Life Cycle Management plans that optimize the brand’s long‑term commercial and educational value

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Eight-plus (8+) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or marketing, including five (5) years US pharmaceutical marketing or related pharma experience

Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred (e.g., Google, third party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.)

Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics‑based optimization strongly preferred

Demonstrated leadership skills

Previous supervisory experience preferred

Demonstrated project management skills

Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources

Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization

History of successful performance

Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all Sr. AD, Marketing competencies/capabilities

Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications

Ability to travel (may include overnight travel)

Eligibility Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Must be willing to take a drug test and post‑offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
