Shift: Day Shift
HVAC Technician performs installation, operation, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repair on refrigeration equipment, heat pumps, pneumatics, environmental control systems, boilers, and related equipment. Responsible for maintaining HVAC systems at on- and off-site locations within federal, state, and local guidelines, and inform supervisors of non-compliance.

What You Will Do
Inspect and determine repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns and major overhauls on heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems at on- and off-site locations.
Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and replace parts as necessary; check and test for proper operation; set and adjust equipment and return the system to operation after repair at on- and off-site locations.
Read blueprints, install equipment in accordance with blueprints and specifications, update and correct blueprints to reflect as-built conditions.
Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems at on- and off-site locations.
Operate and adjust HVAC systems to heat and cool air to specified temperatures and humidity.
Inspect, install, adjust, and maintain hospital equipment systems, including but not limited to chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training preferred; graduate of an approved technical or trade school preferred with courses in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration theory.
Certification: Universal Refrigeration Certification.
Three (3) years of experience in installation and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Knowledge of chemical water treatment, test and analysis.
Knowledge of electrical controls and electric theory related to HVAC systems.
Knowledge of temperature control systems.
Knowledge of indoor air quality standards.
Experience in blueprint reading and knowledge of state and local codes.
Responsible for assuring HVAC systems and equipment are maintained at on- and off-site locations.
Assists in training of new associates.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license.
