Position Information Title:
Commuter Ambassadors (CAs)
Position Description:
Commuter Ambassadors (CAs) are high energy, outgoing students who are marketing OCCSS around campus, outside of the office. They are tabling in parking lots and other areas on campus, promoting events, filming content and sharing resources.
Requirements
5–7 hours/week
Some early mornings required (e.g., 7am tabling)
Must attend and successfully complete training
Must attend ongoing training and staff meetings as required
Responsibilities
Table in other buildings, parking lots, commuter lounge spaces and in town
Staff tables at involvement fairs, admitted and accepted student days and events
Plan, advertise and implement programming around campus
Serve as a resource for students with questions or problems related to off‑campus housing, community issues or commuting concerns
Be familiar with University programs, services, and involvement opportunities for referral purposes
Attend and complete ongoing training
Research and create additional resources for the website
Attend regularly scheduled team meetings
Meet with supervisor for one‑on‑one meetings bi‑weekly or as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Good Judicial standing as determined by the Office of Community Standards
Current undergraduate enrolled student
Must be aware of and familiar with campus resources and how to get involved
Skills
Responsible and dependable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and with a teamMotivated, self‑starter
Physical Demands Walking and standing at tables or in parking lots.
