Job Summary The Assistant Manager, Operations plays an essential role in the store leadership team, ensuring the retail business runs smoothly and successfully. Responsibilities include managing business enablers (finance, P&L, budget, expenses, cash), inventory and vendor relationships, scheduling, payroll, people administration, and executing operations‑focused projects.
Core Responsibilities
Implement the Store Manager’s operations vision and cascade it to team members.
Plan and prepare weekly schedules according to labor requirements, availability, and budget.
Assess on‑floor needs and drive quick response to business, team, and guest demands.
Partner with the Store Manager to manage the budget and other business metrics.
Lead retail floor operations, ensuring coverage and efficiency.
Support sell‑through by ensuring accurate inventory counts and coordinating deliveries.
Execute company‑level operations directives and initiatives.
Adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Leadership & People Management
Create a respectful and inclusive team culture that values differences.
Perform administrative actions (payroll, vacation/time‑off, shift swaps) following policies.
Inform people managers of projected team growth needs.
Build supportive relationships focused on professional development.
Guest Experience & Community
Facilitate seamless omnichannel guest experiences.
Collaborate with team members to deliver optimal guest service.
Resolve guest feedback, escalations, and urgent requests.
Qualifications
Legal authorization to work in the country of the store.
Reliable transportation to the assigned store.
1 year experience managing business operations and administration, including scheduling and labor management.
Desired Attributes
Integrity, adaptability, leadership, collaboration, decision making, strategic thinking, business acumen, and effective communication.
Schedule & Availability Variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits Base Pay Range:
$27.31 – $36.95/hour (subject to local minimum wage)
Target Bonus:
25%
Total Target Base Pay Range:
$34.14 – $46.19/hour
