Shimmick Corporation is seeking a highly talented Project Sponsor to be based in Northern California. This challenging position focuses on all aspects of the project lifecycle while maintaining positive client relationships and building impactful teams.

Responsibilities
Direct and manage junior project managers across large capital projects or multiple smaller projects.
Foster client relationships and resolve issues escalated by junior project managers.
Guide project teams through the collaborative delivery process.
Manage project lifecycle from procurement through preconstruction, construction, and close‑out.
Coordinate corporate resources to the benefit of project success.
Recruit, train, and develop junior staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field plus 10 years of relevant project delivery experience or equivalent.
Experience with GC/CM or similar collaborative project delivery model.
Extensive experience executing complex water/wastewater heavy civil construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Concrete structures, MSE walls, rail, transit, or wastewater project experience.
Experience working with clients in the greater Northern California region.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage changing deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information
Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance abuse test.

Compensation Salary range: $220,000 - $270,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
