## ## Job Description:Position Description:Designs and develops Defined Benefit (DB) Calculation Engine Applications. Designs and deploys applications using Excel, Visual Basic Applications (VBA), VBA macros, and Sybase, SQL, and Relational Databases. Crafts, builds, and deploys applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD tools (Maven and Jenkins). Develops on Actuarial pension benefit validation platforms that meet the scheduled release dates provided, using Excel, Visual Basic, VBA macros, and Sybase. Performs self-certification of the DB Actuarial pension benefit validation platform using Extensible Markup Languages (XMLs), MSAccess, and Sybase. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.Primary Responsibilities:* Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.* Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.* Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.* Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.* Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.* Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.* Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.* Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.* Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.* Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving software solutions in a financial services environment.Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving software solutions in a financial services environment.Skills and Knowledge:Candidate must also possess:* Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing automated test scripts, plans, and cases to test Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), using Java, JUnit, Postman, and SQL; writing User Interface (UI) automated tests, using Selenium WebDriver; creating hybrid automation frameworks using Selenium and Behavior and Test-Driven Development (BDD and TDD); and integrating automated test cases with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline, using Jenkins.* DE creating and maintaining automation test scripts, functional scenarios, and regression tests, using Selenium and REST Assured APIs; and performing automated testing of front-end, UI, Web services, and back-end digital platform applications to validate responsive UI designs.* DE building Continuous Integration of test suites to pipelines to achieve delivery, efficiency, and agility in the deployment of software applications, using automated DevOps processes -- Maven, Jenkins, Git, and Sonar; and writing declarative pipelines and integrating them with DevOps systems jobs.* DE testing and delivering products, collaborating between team members, and delivering consistent value to stakeholders in Agile environment, using X-Ray and JIRA.#PE1M2#LI-DNI## ## Certifications:## ## Category:## Information TechnologyMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
