Job Title: QLTY & RELIABILITY ENGINEER II
Job Overview TE Connectivity’s Quality & Reliability Engineer II role will be a resource for the R&C sector of AD&M, ensuring onsite and offsite quality requirements are met as required by customers and regulatory bodies. This role is based out of the Fairview, NC plant (Y31)
Job Requirements
Understanding the importance of Good Documentation Practices, complete Quality records accurately and legibly and file appropriately
Develop Quality Inspection Plans
Ensure policies and practices comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
Investigate complaints from customers, suppliers, and internal non-conformities.
Conduct root cause investigations, determine corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
Work directly with vendors and customers to ensure the product complies with all end-user requirements
Work closely with teams to ensure military specification compliance is maintained and transparency with the US government is prioritized.
Quality Engineer support for onsite product lines as assigned by the Quality Manager
Report on assigned topics at daily Quality team meetings
Identify areas for improvement within the production process
Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner
Verification of failure modes for customer-returned products in a timely manner
Other duties as directed by the Quality Manager
What your background should look like
Competent with Microsoft Office applications
Good communication skills
Experience with Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Plan(PFMEA), Do, Check, Act (PDCA)
Strong willingness to expand scope of knowledge
Ability to read and interpret prints and customer requirements
Experience collaborating with customers and/or government agencies
Experience with root cause/corrective action investigations
Team leadership and project facilitation
Education Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years quality-related experience (Electrical Engineering preferred); or Master’s degree; or equivalent quality experience required.
