Responsibilities: Develop SW test plans, write SW test cases and generate SW test reports using qualified tools. Emphasize software testing, including unit testing, integration level testing, and functional testing. Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882 or DO178 standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Ensure 100% statement and branch code coverage (MC/DC) compliance Experience setting up and utilizing unit testing, code coverage and static code analysis tools Participate in code peer reviews Design, develop and test highly reliable software systems for aerospace applications. Debug software and tests, both on real hardware and in an emulated or host environment. Familiarity with SDLC and writing standard software documents (SDP, SRS, SDD, STP, STR) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, to integrate software with embedded processors and microcontrollers. Follow a 9/80 work schedule (nine-hour days with every other Friday off). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on MIL-STD-882 or DO178 standards. Strong understanding of software unit testing and integration testing with qualified tools GoogleTest, RapiTest, CppTest or CppUnit Experience with version control systems (GIT / SVN / CVS). Proficiency in embedded C++ programming. Familiarity with STM32 family of microcontrollers is a plus. Hands-on experience with PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) is a plus. Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS) is a plus. C# and XML experience is a plus (for some test scripts and user interfaces). Ability to work on-site at our California location. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role $109,000 - $203,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
